Who to call in the DR. The Dominican Directory is a searchable directory of local businesses for English-speaking expats living in, or moving to, the Dominican Republic.

Why it exists

Ask “can anyone recommend a good lawyer?” in an expat Facebook group and you get forty answers, half of them contradicting the other half. Google Maps lists everything and checks nothing. When you need a doctor, a contractor or someone to sort out your residency, you want a straight answer about who to call.

This directory puts those businesses in one place, sorted by town and by what you need, so you can stop guessing.

What’s in it

5,700+ businesses across 11 towns, from Cabarete and Sosúa to Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Las Terrenas. You’ll find lawyers and residency help, doctors and dentists, real estate, builders, mechanics, restaurants and the everyday services you need once you live here.

How listings work

We want you to know exactly what a listing does and doesn’t tell you, so every listing shows its level.

Standard. Built from publicly available business information and checked for obvious errors. Most listings start here. A Standard listing has not been claimed or verified.
Claimed. The business owner has claimed the listing and keeps their details up to date.
Verified. We have checked the business against the official registers (DGII tax registration and ONAPI trade name), confirmed we can reach them, and confirmed they serve customers in English. Verified businesses carry the DR Verified Network badge.

Where a listing shows a Google rating, it’s the rating and number of reviews, with a link to read them on Google. We don’t copy review text.

Spotted something wrong?

Businesses close, move and change numbers. If a listing is out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it. If it’s your business, claim your listing for free and update it yourself.
