Residencia ARIS

Residencia ARIS is a small gated condo complex in the Encuentro area of Cabarete, a 7 to 10 minute walk from Playa Encuentro, the country's best-known surf beach. Built around 2020, it has studio apartments of roughly 38 square metres and larger two-bedroom units of around 98 to 112 square metres, set around a pool, a covered lounge area, and landscaped grounds, with 24/7 security and a backup generator.

Unlike a typical hotel, the building is made up of individually owned apartments. Owners list and rent their own units through a mix of channels, including Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda, and local Dominican real estate and rental agencies, so pricing, house rules, and check-in arrangements vary from one listing to the next. There is no single front desk or management office covering the whole building.

It suits expats and surf or kite travellers who want a self-contained apartment with a pool and beach proximity over a hotel room, and who don't mind booking through a third-party platform rather than a hotel's own site. Confirm exactly which unit and owner you're booking with, and check reviews for that specific listing rather than the building as a whole.
